Hudson has actually been playing better lately, defensively and at the plate. Bartlett has been horrible. Don’t know why this needs to be a package deal. Dump Bartlett and his ridiculous contract before it gets even worse with the vesting option and team one of the kids with the veteran, for now.

2 of Hoyer’s worst moves as the Padres GM. I remember when he got both of them he was satisfied with improving the middle of the diamond for the Padres. It’s gotten to the point where it is time for some young players to try out for the position to see if they can win it. What do the Padres have to lose? Bad defense and sub .200 averages? (Ok hudson is slightly over .200 but not for long)

Two more reasons why the Padres are garbage. They actually rolled these clowns out telling people that they’re fielding a major league product when everyone knew based on last year these guys should have been released over the winter. If you’re going to lose 100 games, at least lose with guys who may actually get better………not guys who are getting worse.

The only ray of hope this dismal franchise has left as it circles the drain is that the O’Malleys buy the damn thing.

Moores should be ashamed for what he’s allowed this team to become and letting those weasels who tried to buy it on layaway, wreck it without even having majority control.

Maybe one or both could be traded for somebody else’s bad contract, especially a pitcher. The Padres might be able to wring some use out of someone like Bruce Chen or Randy Wolf at Petco. They’re already using Jeff Suppan, for crying out loud.

Seems like a no brainer to me. It’s not like they’re going anywhere this year. Bring Everth back, and give this Amerista a chance this year so you know what he’s got. It would be nice to know what he has, so they know how fast to move Spangenberg along.
