Albert has looked terrible today, so far. His second at bat, he struck out swinging, at ball four. His swing was an awkward wave. Albert either has cataracts, macular degeneration, needs LASIK or glasses. But he SUCKS. Batting .040 in May.

The angels didn’t care all that much about the production or it wouldn’t have been a 10 year deal. The Pujol’s deal was all about seizing on the dodger’s temporary weakness and becoming the premier team in LA. Let this be a lesson that signing a player for a marketing strategy is not a route to a championship…

Of course I know they’d still owe him the money. And it wasn’t serious. The absurdity that there’s gonna be an easy fix here, is, well, absurd.

The effect of the Pujols contract on the Angles is so pervasive, that if he doesn’t resume his 300/30/100, the Angles franchise may never recover.
