The Braves cleaned up in Coors Field this weekend, winning three straight games for their first sweep in Colorado since 2003.

Freddie Freeman hit his sixth homer and tripled in the 7-2 victory Sunday. The Braves scored 29 runs in the three games.

Freeman is up to 26 RBI for the season, placing him third in the NL behind the Dodgers duo of Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier.

Atlanta improved to 18-11 on the season.’s Mark Bowman pointed out that the starting pitchers the last time the Braves swept the Rockies in Coors Field were Greg Maddux, Mike Hampton and Russ Ortiz. This weekend, it was more about the bullpen, as Tim Hudson and Mike Minor were both roughed up in their starts. Brandon Beachy, though, gave the team a quality start today, surrendering two runs in 6 1/3 innings.

The Braves are pretty good at baseball.

Freeman is just flat-out kicking butt right now. Smooth with the glove, too…

When he is hitting the ball he is crushing it. He does make me nervous with his uppercut swing but I will take the results for now.

@CaptPlanet- No one cares, this isnt a fantasy chatroom. Not to mention, 18th rd for someone hitting in the 3-hole for the Braves? I think maybe you & all the other 3 people in your league must be on a ton of drugs.

Do we chalk this up to the Coors Field Effect or can we stop worrying about our offense now?

The offense is jammin’ right now, but the wheels are coming off the starting pitching, it seems…. o_O

Yeah, what’s up with that? Even without this series, the pitching’s been bad. They’re 25th in ERA and 26th in runs allowed. O Maddux, Where Art Thou?
