He’d be the #1 guy on most teams if he could just stay healthy. Baltimore robbed Seattle on the trade, but it would have been a decent trade for Seattle if he hadn’t continued to have injury problems.

Shame he’s been so snake bitten his career because the man has real talent. Its always been buried from the national media in places like Baltimore, Seattle and now Pittsburgh, but when he is on, there are few lineups that can touch him.

Too early to speculate how much time, if any, Bedard will miss. We don’t always want to assume the doom and gloom based on projections of the past. Better he took himself out of the game early as a preventive measure. Both Bedard and Burnett have been good acquisitions so far for the Bucs, who just took a series from the NL East leading Nationals.
