This kid is as talented as they come with great instincts for the game. He maybe cocky, but he plays the game like Pete rose and I can appreciate that.

I remember watching video of Harper when he was in college and the one thing that very blatantly stood out in his swing was the speed of his hips clearing before bat met ball. (Any knowledgeable baseball person will tell you that’s the key to hitting with power.) I’m not a Nationals fan per se, but I think it’ll fun to watch Harper’s development. Team rooting interests aside, as just a fan of the game, it should be fun to see if he pans out as many predict. Good luck, kid. You’ll certainly have a lot of people watching.

Nats lost another player, rookie C Sandy Leon. Hurt on a play at the plate in his first MLB game. Major bummer.
