If you look at history beckett always does great the game after a bad performance, example the game after he let up 6 home runs to the Tigers he had a good start. I think his performance next game will be way more important.

Here’s how ugly some Red Sox fans mentality has become . . . there are those of us who want Beckett to pitch well in order to establish trade value. And short of his oblong frame somehow pitching deep into October (it’s been 4 seasons, so have to assume not likely to happen), we do not want to see him in a Boston uniform come end of season.

Nice outing against a fairly weak-hitting team.

String together 4-5 starts against good teams like that, and then talk to us.

It’s easy to look good against the Mariners, but he did look pretty sharp today. If him and Buchholz can get going this becomes a dangerous team again.

I’ll start being hopeful, if he can manage it twice in a row. One game isn’t really a big help when it’s a 162 game season.

Beckett upset with some Boston reporters after the game yelled “Fore”. He then ignored reporters while doing some light putting on the clubhouse carpet with his Billy Beru.
