From Anthony Andro of FOXSportsSouthwest.com comes word that the Rangers have scratched second baseman Ian Kinsler from their starting lineup on Wednesday night because of a stomach virus.

Alberto Gonzalez will play second base and Elvis Andrus will fill in at the leadoff spot as Texas opens a two-game series against the visiting Athletics.

Kinsler is batting .275/.356/.471 with five home runs, five steals and 18 RBI in 174 plate appearances this season. He’s considered day-to-day but has to be considered questionable for Thursday’s matinee.

Love that pic for this story.

McClelland: “So like I said, a stomach virus is nothing to fool around with. And don’t get me started on tapeworms.. I once spent 3 weeks in the Venezuelan winter league, and I’ll tell you what…”

    Kinsler: “…….”
