Hard to tell which one. But I love that he hasn’t fit into the “he’s an immature jerk” narrative thus far. Drives the haters crazy, which is always a good thing.

As for him getting booed, might be because he showed that he can hit and Phillies fans recognize that (health willing) he will do a lot more of that at CBP over, oh, the next decade or so.

Or maybe Harper is just smarter than some internet bloggers. Tell the Philly fans that you like their passion, and while they may continue to boo you, they’ll respect you. Rickey Henderson was fantastic dealing with “hostile” crowds. Even Canseco won over Boston fans.

Chicago is a really nice city in my opinion. I’ve been there twice and really had a good time both times I went. Both times were over 10 years ago, but that doesn’t matter much really. Anyway, I’d suggest reading the song of fire and ice series if you haven’t already. The stuff they leave out in the show makes the story better in the books. But yeah, back to Bryce Harper………..

He is the first visiting player in the history of sports to be booed by the hometown crowd.
It should be taken as a complement that the fans find him relevant enough to boo him. Jesus Flores doesnt get booed because nobody gives two craps about him.
Booing Bryce Harper doesnt mean that the fans dont appreciate his talent, baseball smarts or hustle.
