Chipper needs to get healthy and play through the end of this year.

Then, he needs a rain check on retirement. He should play as long as he can so he can make the 500 home run club. Hell, he has less than 50 home runs to go!! HOW CRAZY would it be for him to leave when he obviously still possesses the talent to make that club, while still being one of the top producing hitters on his team??

He can rest in retirement for the rest of his LIFE. Right now, Chipper, go hit a few more home runs!!!

The fact that the braves do so welll with him in the lineup only speaks volume that even at 40 that he is a need component of the braves and is still a good producer on the field.

I wanted to see chipper play cincy one more time and I didn’t get that he is a hall of fame 3rd baseman and is the best of my generation. I hope he gets well and plays well the rest of the season.
