The low return on his stolen bases is indicative of what I've been complaining about since the middle of last season: the Feesh are among the worse seetuational heeters in the game, as a team. The team RISP remains around .210 or below (it will have plunged after tonight's fiasco vs. the Jints) and that's after a couple of Iron Giant slams in the past three or four games (tonight he popped out against Vogelsong with the bases loaded, for example). The injury to Bonifacio, the implosions of Gaby Sanchez and John Buck (who may not exactly have imploded because he came into the season as, and has remained, a singularity of sorts anyway) and the lineup of scrubeenies in the outfield at center just exacerbate the problem. This is a team of tablesetters and what Ralph Kiner used to call "swing hard in case you hit it" types, and the results are exemplified by Bonny's stranding stats.

The only thing that can stop him from stealing bases is himself apparently. He's still 100% on attempts and the league leader...bummer man. He was kicking ass for me.
