Ironically Crawford has been good (well better than when not in 2 hole) with the bat in the 2hole, but what is up with his glove which was supposed to be his strength. Just very confusing that his glove is what is depressing me the most. Arias can play 3,2,ss…so he is going to stick.

I know Belt has a good OBP but the guy is not impressing me.

He has a big looping swing that looks like it has a hole in it.

I see that clock running out on Crawford too. I could see Arias playing more at short when Panda comes back.

Fontenot is more durable than Theriot…has a little better (as in can hit it out of the infield and actually get a multi-base hit which Burriss has not done in forever) bat than Burriss and can play multiple infield positions. Fontenot was just more consistent as bench help than Burriss or Theriot during prolonged DLs from Sandoval and FSanchez..

We have Arias, who can go back to 2nd when Sandoval returns. But I really like Arias’ range at 3rd and believe he can make plays that Sandoval could never make…shoot most people could not make the picks and throws Arias has shown from 3rd…but we need Sandoval’s bat as well and just can’t put him at 1st where he might be less of a defensive liability…and blocking playing time for the development of Belt or Pill.
