A soaking wet reporter standing on a storm ravaged street corner like a fool shouting to some anchorman in a warm dry newsroom ” Well Bill since hurricane Bud hit landfill there have been unconfirmed reports of bad teams reaching the post season, performance enhancing drugs rewriting the record books and Bud himself selling the Brewers for a huge profit. Back to you guys in the studio”

Hurricane Bud is receiving very little pressure from weather insiders to expand video replay of the destruction.

  10. kopy - May 24, 2012 at 1:49 PM

Hurricane Bud forms in Pacific. Unlikely to address Oakland, San Jose, or Bay Area in general. Looks to explore options in Mexico.

After a review of documents, it was determined that Hurricane Bud’s real name is Tropical Storm Allan, and it is not newly formed but several years older than previously thought. Allan’s visa application has been rejected pending a full investigation.

“Hurricane Bud forms in Pacific. Has no comment on next move.”

  18. hisgirlgotburrelled - May 24, 2012 at 2:49 PM

In attempt to raise beach attendance, Hurricane Bud declares hurricane season to start earlier and last longer, citing beach attendance in August as being higher “due to it being hurricane season.”

  19. charlutes - May 24, 2012 at 3:32 PM

OK, next time u hbt writers call the morality Gestapo on someone for making a joke, remind yourselves that hurricanes kill people, yet they can still be the crux of a harmless joke. Awesome.

    • number42is1 - May 24, 2012 at 3:50 PM

Keyboards also kill people but you seem to be using yours.. you insensitive bastard!

    • ptfu - May 24, 2012 at 4:02 PM

OK charlutes, next time you use the name of the Nazi secret police to describe HBT writers, remind yourself that the Gestapo tortured/murdered millions of people in its day, and is therefore totally inappropriate to reference outside of that specific historical context. Do not cheapen that charged word trying to make a silly point on a message board. Awesome.

    • cur68 - May 24, 2012 at 10:26 PM

And stop commenting like you’re on twitter, for dog’s sake. Type real words or be mercilessly mocked. This is your last warning.

  20. shoptaw70 - May 24, 2012 at 3:44 PM

Hurricane Bud says it’ll step down to a tropical depression by the end of the month, but the other hurricanes keep it at full strength.

  21. ptfu - May 24, 2012 at 3:50 PM

Long-term low-pressure hot air mass not expected to cause disruptions

  22. Jason @ IIATMS - May 24, 2012 at 4:06 PM

Hurricane Bud has decided it will slowly approach the shoreline after reaching a unanimous concensus amongst the 30 general tropical storms that serve to fuel its power. Decision whether Hurricane Bud will reach full speed and landfall will be determined by a blue ribbon panel chaired by Storm Field and Joe Morgan.

  23. rooney24 - May 24, 2012 at 4:21 PM

“Tropical Storm” Bud wins appeal and is no longer legally a “hurricane” after appeal reveals that wind speed measuring device was stored in meteorologist’s fridge over the weekend. Could not legally guarantee that it was Bud’s wind speed that was measured and not tampered with.

  24. MJanik25 - May 24, 2012 at 4:27 PM
