It’s old news, but A.J. Burnett turned in yet another strong outing, shutting down the Cubs when it counted most. Burnett’s pitched much better than his record indicates, in fact, he’s turned in only one poor outing as a Buc. So much for the doom and gloom crowd who were wrong about the acquisition prior to the season. Burnett’s performances have been important since Jeff Karstens was injured a while back.
