ive yet to see one shred of solid evidence in this came and i cant see how any jury could find Clemens guilty based on what has been said during this trial so far.

Isn’t the easy line of questioning here why Segui and not McNamee’s wife is testifying? Besides, unless he heard it from McNamee’s wife, its all still just McNamee’s story versus Clemens – and they’ve both got credibility problems.

Can someone explain to me, because obviously I’m not that bright, how a trained employee of the MLB office can keep a urine sample in fridge overnight, and that evidence is thrown out as it could’ve been tampered with, but a trainer can keep cotton balls and needles for years and that might be enough to convict someone?

Rusty Hardin messed up in the trial. He went overboard in questioning McNamee which forced the judge to allow the prosecution to enter evidence that the judge had previously made inadmissible. Originally, the judge was not going to allow Segui and another witness to testify that McNamee had told them about 10 years ago that he was saving the evidence on the advice of his wife. The judge also changed his mind and allowed McNamee to name Pettitte and Knoblach as other baseball players whom he had injected with HGH. Hardin simply did not know when to shut up and made claims in court that the judge knew were false. .

If you ignore all of the empirical evidence that suggests players knew and had known for years that steroids were in the game and saw the changes in guys who they knew or suspected were taking steroids, AND ignore that McNamee worked in clubhouses and guys who did steroids knew how to find him, AND accept that somehow Clemens didn’t know this about McNamee when his pal Petitte was getting his steroids from the guy – then yes, that’s a completely reasonable hypothesis.

Here’s a crazy theory that I am surprised has not been offered; McNamee tells Roger that he is giving him B-12 when its really steroids. When Rogers conditioning improves, McNamee claims its from his skill as a trainer, not ‘roids. When exposed for supplying ‘roids, McNamee has his excuse lineup by saying I was only doing what I was told to by the players.

Bonds made similar claims, didn’t know what his trainer had given him. Ignorance is bliss, right?
