And with this, John Maine will have completed most of his East Coast Bias career tour. All he needs now is a stop in Philly:
The Yankees will be signing former Mets/Red Sox righty John Maine to a Minor League deal, source says. Maine’s been working out with Yanks

Maine seems have a giant fork sticking in his back — well, his shoulder — as he never actually appeared in a minor-league game for the Red Sox after signing a deal with them in the offseason due to more health problems. Last year he had a 7.43 ERA in 11 starts at Colorado Springs.

I assume the entire purpose of this signing is that if he somehow recovers and pitches well, it’ll really stick it to the Sox.

He certainly won’t be a Maine source of production. Most likely just a no-risk cheap flyer.
