From Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel comes word that Brewers third baseman Aramis Ramirez is out of the lineup Sunday for a second straight game due to a left elbow contusion.

Ramirez suffered the injury on Friday evening when he was struck in the arm by a pitch. It was the 29th time a Brewers player had been plunked in 2012.

Taylor Green is starting at third base in Sunday afternoon’s series finale against the Diamondbacks.

Corey Hart will play first base and Cody Ransom is getting the nod at shortstop.

Ramirez, 33, has hit .238/.310/.402 with three homers and 25 RBI in 43 games this year for Milwaukee.

Looks like Ramirez is off to his usual dazzling start we were so accustomed to seeing in Chicago. Don’t worry Brewer fans, if your team completely falls out of contention, he will start hitting.

    They are.

They just aren’t better without him AND missing 5 other starters.
