Another Paulie tidbit of note: the last player, and one of only 18, to hit a grand slam in a World Series:

He's been fun to watch. A nice alternative to the steroid monsters Uncle Bud has shoved down our throats.

I think Paulie likes being under the radar. That is just how he conducts his business. A true professional baseball player. The guy did hit a grand slam in the World Series, however, how under the radar can he be?

Paul Konerko will make the Hall of Fame. I think that the White Sox will give him a nice extension, as Konerko just said how proud he is of playing so long for the same team. Playing out the rest of his career in the extremely favorable home run conditions at the Cell, Konerko will hit his 500th home run sometime during the 2014 season and essentially lock up his HoF induction after continuing to hit dingers as a DH player-manager into his lower 40's. The crystal ball is working today.

The most underrated player in ALL of baseball. Hitting nearly .400 won't gain him national respect, either. Yes, baseball geeks and WS fans know who he is. Talk about an "under the radar" career.
