If he’s done pitching this year and next, his 2014 option won’t vest and he’ll be a 37 year old a free agent coming off TJ surgery, needing the first half of 2014 to get back in a groove to be the “old” Doc in the second half. Who will sign him for that?

Doc is going to announce that the Mets doctor told him that if he has Tommy John surgery he’ll come back better than ever and pitch until he’s Jamie Moyer’s age. So, he’s taking the next season and a half off and will be back strong in 2014.

Hah, from the Met’s doctor? I’m a Mets fan & cringe when the medical staff diagnosis an injury because 99% of the time they’re wrong. Whether its how long the injury will take to heal or the type of injury it is, Mets doctors are horrible. Ask Beltran, who went outside of the organization to have a surgery done. That should sum it all up right there. Good luck with those Doc’s , Doc.
