Because you don’t get enough of my opinions, last night I was on a podcast over at Diamondhoggers. We went on for around 45 minutes or so about how HBT works, the nature of blogging, obsessively checking the page view stats and why I don’t cut Fredi Gonzalez any slack.
Good times. At least if you aren’t sick of hearing me go on about whatever already.

Pod cast? Aw Craig, don’t tell me you dozed off next to the damned thing…you’ve been practically affect-less since the Braves’ season tanked to begin with.

I tried listening to a podcast replay on my computer, with extra speakers and an amplifier. I still couldn’t make out half of what was said. The audio technology needs to advance to at least early ’50s hi-fi level. I get better sound from an old AT&T phone, though that’s unfair – those old phones were state-of-the-art narrowband mono, unequaled by today’s cheap cell phones.
In short, don’t consider this a career enhancement, just yet. Even if the sound quality improves, there’s still the Neilsen ratings hurdle, once/if Neilsen takes podcasting seriously. Remember, if there’s no audience, you’re just singing in the shower.
