He seems to be the perfect example of tweener — somewhere between AAA and the MLB. Japan seems the perfect fit. He could make a lot of yen there. Plus, while their population isn’t large or anything, there are some Hawaiians in Japan.

If the players think it’s so horrible, they should take up a collection for the guy. Last year the Indians took up a collection to pay for a private flight for Jack Hannahan to be at the birth of his child.

Don’t know what happened to this guy. His 2010 splits weren’t awful (except that BABIP that drove down his overall average) and his BB:SO ratio was decent for a guy with pop.
