Good to see the Cardinals are continuing their whiny ways. Don’t all clubs face these travel situations during the years??

To a man the Cardinals said a schedule that has had them play on 28 of the last 29 days, including late-night returns from Los Angeles and Houston, is not the sole reason for a recent 5-10 stretch.

But combined with a growing crush of injuries, it does offer a partial explanation.

“If you look at it, I think we really messed up in the Basic Agreement not getting every travel day as a day game,” insisted left fielder Matt Holliday. “I think that was something we should have pushed for. They (the Indians) were probably here at 7:30 (last night). We got here in the morning.”
