Per Joe Strauss Garcia has moderate tears in the labrum and rotator cuff, out at least 6 weeks.

Surgery not on table yet says Mozeliak.

Additional word from Cards GM John Mozeliak just in.

Garcia out “at least” 4 weeks with shoulder impingement per Dr. James Andrews, 3rd opinion from Yocum in the next few days.

“Re-evaluation” after initial 4 weeks with the possibility of being shut done for the year, surgery not out of the question.

Mo said they are looking at all options including outside of the organization, it didn’t sound like he was in any mood to wait around util the trad deadline and overpay while acknowledging it’s tough to trade for pitching.
