The ultimate irony, came in for last out of the 7th and the Mariners scored in the bottom. Next inning he threw 8 consecutive balls, walking the first two batters and got relieved.
1/3 inning = 1 pitcher win

That’s a shame. I was watching the game and couldn’t believe he wasn’t out there as play began. Then I turned on the MLB channel and found out he got injured during the warm up.

So rare to be in the position to throw a no no, but to pull yourself out of the game is unheard of. He’s been pitching great. I imagine the Mariners would like to move him before the deadline. I guess this injury won’t help maximize his value.
