The adversity continues to pile up in St. Louis.

According to Joe Strauss of the Post-Dispatch, Cardinals left fielder Matt Holliday will be held out of the starting lineup for a second straight game Sunday against the Indians due to back spasms.

It’s not a major injury and isn’t in danger of becoming one, but his absence is still a concern for a team with four fairly key offensive contributors (Lance Berkman, Jon Jay, Skip Schumaker and Matt Carpenter) currently on the disabled list. Not to mention ace Chris Carpenter and lefty Jaime Garcia.

Holliday is batting .276/.362/.458 with 10 homers and 35 RBI. He’ll presumably be back Tuesday.

If I am to base my opinion of you on your few posts here, I would have to say that you are soft headed and willfully ignorant. You have much more data on which to base an opinion of Holliday than I have to base one on you….and I would bet my opinion is much more accurate than yours. Troll somewhere else.

Well if I had 2 base my opinion on your reply I would have to say your an internet tough guy and if I would of said my opinion to your face you would be a coward. You prob work in an office and wouldn’t know a thing about hard labor. I’m sure my opinion is way more accurate than yours. Further more for you to think that it isn’t a coincidence for him to be out after he was complaining about the scheduling shows how ignorant you are.
