Did you see the game Sunday against the Mets. They had three consecutive singles with runners in scoring position.

They are getting better. Regression to the mean in inevitable.

Yankees are the worst team in baseball with the bases loaded. This whole series is different if they play just a little bit better. Yanks should have scored 8 or 9 tonight. We should have never had to use our bullpen, at all, except for freddy Garcia. Keeping those guys fresh. Sure, we’ve won 9 of the last 11, but we can’t expect the starters to dominate all season. They’ll probably give up a few runs, here and there. If I was playing the Yankees, I’d just load the bases to start every inning. That way, I’d be sure they’d never score.

…. agreed, but still not enough hitting with runners in scoring position, hopefully that will improve as the pitching has. Robertson coming back is big.

Fingers crossed. Yankees starting to play reasonably well over the past 2 weeks. Just hope they can ratchet it up a few notches so they can maintain their above average performance. I’ll be glad to get Robertson back.
