Yan Gomes will replace Morrow on the roster. He had just been sent down, but probably never left Toronto. Once a starting pitcher is added to the roster, Laffey will probably be sent back to Triple A.

August 1st??? Where are you getting your info??? I remember when Pujols strained an oblique years ago…He was out around 3 weeks to a month…David Robertson this year…3-4 weeks…Where are you getting he’ll be out double that???

Cecil was sent to Triple A from Double A, which increases the probability that Chavez will replace Morrow.

Jesse Chavez who is scheduled to pitch for Triple A Las Vegas tomorrow and Brett Cecil are both in the mix to replace Morrow. Cecil was supposed to pitch in Double A today, but Deck McGuire pitched instead of him. As Thursday is an off day, the Jays can take their time in bringing up a starting pitcher. Initially, Morrow might be replaced by a hitter.
