True enough, but they just released an Old Guy/DH type, so they might be interested in another, although Anthopoulos never seemed thrilled with having Guerrero on board. I’m not sure how long Cleveland and Tampa Bay are going to put up with Damon and Matsui, either.

Completely agree. He’s going to be 34 in a few months, his skills have eroded, and he needs to now take a serious inventory of his life and ask himself if it’s worth coming back to sustain yet another concussion — assuming that this current issue is indeed a brain bruise. He’s got to think about hanging ‘em up. It’s extremely unfortunately and unlucky, but that’s his situation.

Everything about Bay playing for the Mets has been ugly. It may be time for him to think about his future health, consider himself fortunate for the millions he’s made, and call it quits. Whatever he chooses, I hope he makes a full recover.
