the jays pitchers just have no talent, they have all these players they draft that are supposed to be terrible like drabek, snyder, wells, rios, the list goes on and on and they are worthless. Its a pathetic franchise thats run on a shoestring budget and with what they got they dont make smart baseball moves and thats why they lose and as i predicted will finish dead last in the AL east. As you see as time goes by they keep getting worse, not better and under the current ownership thats not changing anytime soon. Hopefully they join the expos real soon cause canada has no business playing baseball and their playoff drought will go on and on and less people will go to their games then now if thats even possible. say bye bye gays!!

cecil piched bad because of a 40lbs weight loss! HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA you remind me of those trash mags you can get at the supermarket proudly. Cecil has never been someone to count on at any point in his MLB career, thats not going to change now as he will be pounded like the batting practice pitcher he is. The bottom line is this, the ship is sinking so you better jump ship AGAIN!!!

I think the Jays pitchers rely too much on the fastball. The amount of home runs they give up may attest to that. They need a coach who’ll teach them to throw more offspeed,sliders and curve balls. Just might save an arm or two,……….not to mention a game or 2 also.

Throwing a baseball at 90 mph is a terribly unnatural motion…doing so repeatedly, even with years of conditioning, still puts great stress on all soft tissues associated with the motion….at some point, those tissues are going to give in most people.

Of the 3 starting pitchers the Jays lost, Morrow was the most important and the least injured. He will be back. Drabek and Hutchinson were the 4th and 5th starters and will be replaced.

At the start of the spring training, the projected rotation was Romero. Morrow, Cecil, Alvarez and McGowan. McGowan got hurt once again and Cecil struggled adjusting his delivery due to a 40 pound weight loss. Drabek pitched well in the spring and won the 4th spot. Initially Carreno was the 5th starter, but was quickly replaced by Hutchinson.

Down in the minors, Cecil has regained his form and should pitch better than Alvarez, Drabek and Hutchinson. At triple A Las Vegas, Chavez has pitched very well in a park that is extremely hitter friendly. He also impressed during his one appearance with the Jays this season. Villanueva pitched decently during his starts last season and he pitched 4 strong innings in relief last night. He was the winning pitcher in each of his last two appearances.

Losing 3 starting pitchers in a five day span hurts, but the end is not nigh. The team will not fold and will still be very competitive.

he can phone the cubs all he wants but dumpster will not be going to the jays. 1. he makes too much 2. why would he want to get traded to another LAST place team? might as well stay where you are

The Jays hung tough despite losing their starting pitcher and won by 3 to 0. The world has not come to an end. Barring a trade, the rotation will be Romero, Cecil, Alvarez, Chavez and Villanueva.

Was watching the game and I literally sat there with my mouth open for a good 10-15 seconds when I saw Hutchinson coming out of the game. WTF, three starters injured in their last four games? That’s downright spooky. “Stick a fork in them” is right, although I think you could have said that after the first guy (Morrow) went down.

Seems to me that if you’re an unemployed strength and conditioning coach, you ought to send your resume to the Blue Jays.
