Bay was a good player until he got to the Mets. The signing at the time didn’t seem like a horrible move but of course now it’s a different story. As for the morons booing, they are classless and ignorant. There are those types in all ballparks. It is unfortunate but the truth. Bay has always hustled and played at 150%. To boo a player that gets hurt is just horrid.

I feel bad for Bay. He clearly isn’t the player the Mets thought they were getting, and yes, he’s extremely overpaid. However, you can’t deny the guy doesn’t play his heart out when he’s on the field. I’m not going to boo him, and I’m certainly not going to do so when he is injured because he was giving full effort.

Touche mybrunodog. Like always they wanted to chase the headlines intead of making the smart move. They should have went after marlon byrd. Grant it this years he isn’t doing much but the past two he did quite well. And for all you minaya haters. That team you see on the field today, majority of them are minaya products. Dickey especially. Minaya was just a scapegoat for the mess. But if you really look at it, he made a lot of good moves. And I know someone will bring up ollie, to counter that. Our other option was derek lowe. How did that pan out?

I don’t blame Minaya for this one I blame the Wilpons. The Yankees were stealing the New York headlines as they often do. After a few historic late season collapses, the Mets felt a strong need to make a free agent splash to show their fans that the team is relevant….Too bad they chose Bay.

Realistically he was done a couple years ago, but this probably seals it. At best he might be able to come back as a Scott Hairston type, but considering where he was a few years ago that says a lot. Omar Minaya continues to haunt the Mets.

Bay’s been channeling the Original ‘Pistol Pete’, Harold Patrick Reiser. Hasn’t met a wall yet he doesn’t try to knock over.
