Come on now, I’m no Mets fan, but they surely have a shot at it. Santana and Dickey alone are enough to carry a mediocre team to the playoffs if they keep pitching well.

Young has been giving me room for hope. Assuming he stays healthy (big if with him).

I really, really wish the Mets could have re-signed Capuano, though.

Pettitte/Niese won’t be too shabby, either, and while we have no idea if Young is back to being a decent pitcher, him against Nova isn’t bad if that’s your worst pitching matchup of the series.

This weekend’s Subway Series promises a lot of good pitching matchups, though Johan will miss it. (Given how the Yankees have eaten him for breakfast, though, I don’t think this is a bad thing.) The big event is Sunday night, with CC and RA.
