Anyone shown to be cheating should receive a very harsh penalty. This includes cheating discovered after the game is over. Players should be required to report themselves, even though the player himself may not be sure the play was made or not.

Wow and Joe Madden says Davey Johnson was a coward to ask the umpire to check the glove.
I guess we are ok with a player cheating and are suppose to look the other way. Shows alittle bit about the character of Joe and Oena too.

Look at last weeks play where a player fellover the wall and got up and showed the ump the ball.
He knew damn well he did not catch the ball but this low life fooled the ump. Just what we need for the kids watching the game. IT IS OK TO CHEAT.

I doubt FedEx was open after the game. How was the glove stored in the umpire’s hotel room? Are they prepared to properly ensure that the glove is not tampered with? Depending on the temperature in the room, it could drastically change the amount of pine tar on the glove to 12x what is present on a normal player’s glove.
