He doesn’t care about 2012 and 2013, that’s kindof the point. And no matter how bad it gets nobody who curses management in 2012 and 2013 will stay away from the party if the cubbies are in the NLCS in 2015.

The Cubs are doing everything possible to make sure they are the worst team in baseball. Whatever Epstein’s long range plans are, show the fans that you actually care about 2012 and 2013. If you’re going to gut the team before trade deadline then get rid of all of the dead unproductive weight. Start with Sosa and Marmol and Stewart and…gosh I can go on and on and on…

It’ll be interesting to see how he does the second time around. He was terrible with San Diego (for part of one season), but oftentimes it takes the second go-round and some more minor league seasoning for a player to blossom. Rizzo definitely has gobs of talent.
