Dear Cubs,

We'll gladly take sporadic rock concerts in exchange for the grandstands that crush and completely destroy our outfield during the months of August and September.

We've lost 3 September call-ups in the holes those grandstands produce over the past several seasons. Please let us know if you find them.

Sincerely,

The Oakland Athletics

P.S. We've also become masters in the dark arts of the painted grass. We're happy to share our knowledge.

Long time Cubs fan usually make one or two trips to Wrigley a year. My only trip this year will be and was for the country concert that made the grass look like it does now. The concert was the best show that will take place on that field this year. Hopefully these sorry excuses for MLB players will be gone soon, but in the mean time might as well bring on the only entertaining thing they can get!

" Cubs fans have very little to cheer for at the moment. They should at least be able to go to a game and see a nice field."

Are you saying that a nice field will help a fans enjoy watching a bad (BAD BAD BAD) team?
Not sure I see the connection between a bad team , bad turf, and people enjoying the game

When the Phillies played at the Vet NEVER did I hear anyone say "Yea, the team sucks, but if the TURF was better I would really enjoy the game more".
