My only trip this year will be and was for the country concert that made the grass look like it does now. The concert was the best show that will take place on that field this year. Hopefully these sorry excuses for MLB players will be gone soon, but in the mean time might as well bring on the only entertaining thing they can get!

Not sure I see the connection between a bad team , bad turf, and people enjoying the game

When the Phillies played at the Vet NEVER did I hear anyone say “Yea, the team sucks, but if the TURF was better I would really enjoy the game more”.

A lot of people plan Chicago vacations around Cubs home stands just so they can go, as my brother did a couple of years ago. Seeing a torn-up field in mid-season is no way to treat the paying customers, or to tell the local fans you;re running a first-class operation, especially given the overall qualify of groundskeeping in baseball today.
