Of course the Rockies aren’t going to trade Carlos Gonzalez. They will listen to offers though, hoping for something absurd no matter how unlikely that is to happen.

Trading Gonzalez would be admitting the whole building needs to be demolished and rebuilt. CarGo and Troy Tulowitzki are foundational pieces.

Michael Cuddyer has played about as well as the Rockies could have expected. You keep him too as Dan O’Dowd is publicly stating unless, again, you get an overwhelming offer to deal him.

Makes way more sense to trade Cuddyer for a good young player or two who will be in their prime when they’re supposedly ready to compete again. Cuddyer’s value is only going to go down as time passes…..
