Besides that, though, you’re totally right.

Also, the defense has been bad because of the injuries as well. Their injuries have affected their fielding equally as much as their offense.

Everybody in the lineup besides Zobrist and Pena have spent time on the DL this season, and Matt Joyce (the team’s best hitter other than Longoria) is currently on the DL.

If everybody’s healthy in the lineup for the second half besides Longoria, there’s no way they regress. When the Rays have regressed this season, they had four of their best hitters out of the lineup: Longoria, Joyce, Jeff Keppinger (leads the team in average by far), and Luke Scott

That comment is laughable. As long as they have Alex Cobb, Chris Archer and Alex Torres they have all the starting pitching they need over the year. The loss of Niemann was unfortuanate and as long as the loss of Hellickson is not long term thier starting pitching will be more than sufficient. You’re looking at the wrong position. This team is unraveling offensively (understandable with the talent level and injuries) and defensively which is just mind boggling. But…STARTING PITCHING is not the issue.
