The Twins would be willing to take him off the Phillies’ hands, I’m sure, but they wouldn’t offer much of any value since they’re not contenders. If it happened, it would mostly be because the Phillies said to him, “Sorry this pennant race didn’t work out, go hit some bombs in Minnesota before you retire.” He likes it in Minnesota and it’s close to his family, but I’d really rather see him win a championship. And I’m a Twins fan.

Ya, he’d love to play in Tampa. What a beautiful ballpark to come to everyday. Every ballplayer wants to end his career in a dank, dark basement that’s half full on a good night. Sounds awesome!

The Twins might not be sellers this year (and they should be), but they definitely aren’t going to be buyers.

Personally, I’m hoping the Twins give him another one year deal this winter.

Tigers could definitely use Thome, D. Young needs to be cut pronto…but then again the Tigers could use an upgrade at every position defensively save Center, and offensively save third, first and center…
