Yeah, guys are starting to make comparisons to 2010. This current scoreless innings streak has just allowed fans to vocalize the heretofore unmentionable: this team can really pitch. And, there are 4 guys in the offense who are dangerous, just like 2010. Still, the season is only at the 50% mark. But I have to say, even for an A’s fan, Orange Fridays are getting a lot more interesting.

Bumgarner yet 22 until August 1, signed way friendly until at least 2017(good club options through 2019), a World Series win, country strong, and bought his wife a cow as a wedding gift,, oh man, how can he get better? It is Cain on the mound next to extend the roll, he of the richest(?) right handed pitcher’s contract, a very friendly six years plus 2018 option longest tenured Giant in his 7th season and 27 years old. Lincecum is right again? Volgelsong is one tough dude and a great story. Z is Z, never as good as the contract, which finishes at the end of next year, but is, well, Z.
Man it is a good time to soak up some Giants ball.
I may have to say something nice about Sabes and the Front Office one day.
Sorry you live on the wrong coast Craig.
You can catch them soon as they make a killer trip east, see how it all shakes out at the break.

Who’s the exception?

Matt Cain (starting tomorrow) and Clay Hensley.

And no one have imploded. Not Zito, not Lincecum, not Loux or Kontos. Amazing. Simply Amazing.

It’s the longest scoreless innings streak in San Francisco Giants history, yes, but it only ties the franchise mark of 36. The 1948 New York Giants did it over the course of 5 games July 26-30, in a streak also involving the Dodgers and Reds.
