Would be good for Houston. Carlos is still a steady bat, but the power is way down and he just gets too much money for what he brings to the game anymore. But I think he will veto the trade. He likes Houston.

Fail, jwbiii. Lee does not have five and dimer rights, he signed them away in his last contract. The Dodgers are on his limited no trade list, though.

I think this would be a bad move for the Dodgers but I can understand it from Colletti’s side of things. The Dodgers have had kind of a fluky run of success which has made him look good so far. With the new ownership coming in, this isn’t about necessarily winning a world series this year. It’s about survival. I think Colletti is thinking solely about having enough success to justify him keeping his job.

Zach lee is not going anywhere. Kasten is not that dumb. Dodgers need a bat at first and they are willing to eat up his disgusting contract so they would not have to deal any top 5 prospects. As much as they need the help i question how much Carlos lee will impact them. Go Dodger Blue!!

Has anyone asked Carlos Lee about this? He has five and dimer rights, lives on a ranch outside of Houston, and has said he doesn’t want to leave in the past. Next season, Houston will have a defensive position that he is qualified to play.

Typical Ned Colletti deal, trade a quality young player for a washed up veteran who brings pretty much nothing to the table anymore.

I honestly dont see what Carlos would bring to the table that you couldnt potentially get out of derrek lee. But then again this is Ned doing the dealing so im sure he sees in Carlos Lee the same things he saw in Juan Uribe, Juan Rivera, Mark Ellis, Matt Guerriar or the other 10 washed up vets he overpaid for.
