I’m a diehard Phillies fan, but Harper is a stud and any of the immature stuff they said he did in the minors is obviously not true now. He handled the Hamels incident like a man, scored the run and after the game in his interview said Hamels pitched a good game and left it at that. Plus the kid is making baseball fun to watch again for Nat fans, plus the fact they’re playing great baseball and in first place doesn’t hurt. Darvish deserves to go too cause he’s just got nasty stuff and has what 5 pitches?? Goodluck to all who end up making it, they all have there reasons to go.

On the Nats’ TVcast, F.P Santangelo asked, why should Chipper have to get voted into the last slot? Just put him on the team and honor his great career.

I agree. Chipper shouldn’t have to wait for someone to get hurt, either. MLB pretends to make the All-Star Game meaningful by basing World Series home field on it. Then the game is played like the meaningless exhibition it is. As long as this fraud is perpetrated, I see no reason why they can’t make room to honor a great player at the end of his career.
