Dusty, Oh Dusty! Get your head out of the clouds and do the right thing. We all love Rolen, but he cannot take the daily grind anymore, and we need production! Quit coaching on sentiment! I cannot believe Dusty is still coaching!

as a reds fan I am completely shocked that he has not bounced back into form or untill the last 2 games the reds have struggled with him as their starting third baseman. who could not have seen this coming along with the guy who replaced him struggling since being benched or forced to play left field? oh yeah everybody buty dusty baker that's who! I nearly threw up when I saw he had him batting cleanup in the game Phillips missed this week,he just can't help himself when it comes to sticking with washed up vets. I bet he is talking to the reds gm everyday about how the reds miss willie harris and his .088 left handed bat in the lineup to.

The problem is Rolen, a .281/.364/.491 career hitter, probably isn’t capable of getting back to where he’s “supposed to be — or at least pretty close.” Not at age 37, and not with lingering soreness in an area of his body that’s been fragile for several years.

.242/.279./.397 in 2011 proves that point. Reds fans have been saying this since May, and though hopeful Rolen can at least get to .250, it seems as if Rolen is no longer capable of being the everyday starter Dusty forces him to be.
