		<description><![CDATA[I assume that he initially wanted more than slot, but the Jays refused to budge as Stroman did not have much leverage. The Jays had 7 high upside picks in the first 3 rounds including several with signability problems. They had to pay above slot to get those guys. They drafted college seniors in rounds 4 to 10 and paid them small bonuses. The bonus money saved by paying them less than slot enabled the Jays to pay up for the highly rated prospects.

I wonder if any of the Boras clients have signed yet? His history of demanding a lot of money, clashes greatly with the new CBA.]]></description>
