i am very sad to hear this news, Jenk’s should have been the redsuk’s closer. Hopefully they do the right thing and extend Dice-K and yes extend Lackey cause he has at least 10 more good years ahead of him!! We love you Lackey and Dice-K!!! Please come back ASAP

This hardly makes any sense to say. Lackey’s contract states that if he has some season-ending surgery (such as he has), he needs to come back at the tail end of his deal for league minimum. Even Lackey is worth that amount, plus it gives the Sox some serious cap room. Lackey may be a blight on society and the locker room, but he is hardly a guy the Sox will want to just “cut bait” with at this point.

I like that mojo, it’s sad that at the end of his tenure with the Sox that Theo made such horrible signings.

They should’ve had the doc who botched Jenks’s back surgery perform Lackey’s TJ surgery.
