At the season’s midpoint, it’s been shaved to 83. They are still the best team in baseball by any measure. Runners up in the RD derby are STL (+62) and CHW (+59).

Will they make a run at Hamels? Greinke? Are they prepared to see either guy in the other dugout in October? How would it feel to lose 3 World Series in a row after not pursuing available aces? Even if it requires parting with some prized young talent from their deep system, the time is now to make a run at another starter.

Lewis, Darvish, Harrison, Holland are a solid 4 for October. Offense is covered. Go get some insurance.
