I was actually hoping he would put together a really nice 2nd half and still go completely winless…cause maybe then the mainstream media would realize how meaningless W/L records for pitchers are. I mean…that’s optimistic. But maybe it would’ve helped further the dialogue.

Definitely agree the last one was his fault, and he’s blown up 2 or 3 times, but there was way more times that it WASN’T his fault.

I guess Cliff Lee just doesn’t know how to win…

It’s good he finally got a win.. Being he’s in Philly, had he lost again, those booming sounds tonight might not be fireworks going off but the trampling of Phillie fans jumping off the bandwagon. (just teasing, guys.)

Lee had some bad luck. It is good that he got a win here but not all of his losses have been because of a bad pen. Lately he had some bad games and i was scared it had gotten into his head, i am glad that this seems to not be the case, he is too good of a player to flame out like he seemed to be in the process of.

It’ll be great tomorrow on the radio listening to everyone talk about Cliff and how he finally got a win and deserved it. They been hating on him all season so far, when the bullpen blew too many games for him and the team so far like the guy up further said. Yeah his stats aren’t great this year, but he had one of the lowest ERA’s in the NL for a while until recently. I Love Lee, he still has plenty in the tank. It isn’t his fault the pitchers weren’t getting run support for a while.

Yay Cliff! In actuality, he should realistically be about 7-4 right now. The bullpen blew so many games for him, and the offense has completely let him down, especially in the Giants game where he threw 10 goose eggs.

Also, why, hello Mr. Utley. Glad to see you remembered why they call it ‘Utley’s Corner’. He’s moving well, and Chooch gonna chooch.

I can imagine the background choir of Hallelujahs….
