The graffiti was on the wall. He’s been unable to get going at the plate at all this season and hasn’t been an effective hitter since after last season’s all star break. That resolves the problems of what to do with two of the three sub-Mendoza hitters on the team; the issue of Black Hole Buck, with his absurdly inflated contract, will be much tougher to solve. Carlos Lee will be a superior fill-in for Gaby but, let’s face it, the Feesh need to start thinking hard about where their future first baseman is going to come from.

Demoted even after he hit the game tying homer off Axford in the 9th!! He’ll be back. I’m no Miami fan, but he a lot of potential to be good.
