randy… I don’t know about Youk talking sh*t on Boston, even though that ownership ( look how they treated Tito) and Valentine deserve it. Their loyal fans don’t deserve it and I think Youk will think along those lines, a class guy all the way.

“Change of scenery” is right there with momentum, chemistry causing winning, and can’t play in the big city/pressure situation/big media city as a great descriptor AFTER the fact. Can you believe that when a guy makes a great play to end an inning and then leads off the next half frame only happens one out of nine times? Even less in the American League.

Well, it’s used as a cliche all too often. A lot of times when guys struggle someone throws the “change of scenery” cliche out there, but it’s not always applicable. But sometimes it is. In a guy like Youk’s case, he got traded to a team where he’s the clear cut starter, doesn’t have intense media scrutiny, and he’s actually in an even better park for hitters than Fenway. Seems like this is just what he needed, and I’m happy for him. Definitely didn’t expect him to keep struggling the way he had been.

Good for Youk, I felt getting out of Boston would help him, and there really wasn’t any room for him there. This guy has always given all he has to his team and he’ll continue that. When he’s right he’s the last guy the opposing team wants to see at the plate with the game on the line.
