Alex Presley left Tuesday’s game following an attempted diving catch in the outfield and after going through some tests today the Pirates have placed him on the seven-day concussion disabled list.

Pittsburgh added Jody Mercer to the roster in Presley’s place and he’ll be eligible to come back immediately after the All-Star break, although obviously with a concussion that’s no sure thing.

Presley, who was demoted to the minors in mid-May and recalled two weeks later, has hit .268 with four homers and an .816 OPS in 26 games since returning.
