The Fees were in the mid-thirties for the last weekend of their homestand. Considering that it's only a 37,000 seat stadium, that's a bump that would drive your head through the sunroof at anything over 40MPH.

Neither one of the prospects the Feesh unloaded counted for much in their future. Matt Dominguez has been a bust at the plate and didn't figure to be more than a late inning defensive replacement for the Hanster if they brought him up at all. Rasmussen didn't figure as much more than an OK middle reliever looking ahead, either. Both were high draft picks who didn't live up to, or who gave signs of not living up to, original expectations. The Feesh negotiated a smart deal for themselves: a replacement for Gaby Sanchez at first for a pretty good glove with about ninety points of BA to the plus. Nothing about this deal reflects in any direct or revelatory way upon this season's attendance - nor for next, since (a) Lee almost certainly won't re-sign with the Feesh and (b) they're still on the hook for Gaby's salary for the next two years anyway.

Surprised the suddenly money flush Marlins didn't take on salary so they could keep their prospects. I guess the attendance spike is more of an attendance bump.
