I do think Holliday has a good case to be there, it’s Freese who doesn’t belong.

TLR should have put him on the Final Vote instead of Freese. Freese is good, but he’s not having as good a season as Holliday or several other players who aren’t going (including any of the remaining Final Vote guys).

But he knew the Cardinal fans could get in Freese (especially when he prematurely picked the guy with the best shot of beating him), then he could get in Holliday.

He is definitely a schemer, but he is really good at it.

I think Holliday is deserving the guy who should be in the cross hairs for all of this is LaHair from the Cubs making it by TLR. 30 RBI’s, doesn’t play against lefties and has lost his position to Rizzo at 1B and they are trying him in OF hoping a team is crazy enough to trade for a 29 yr old rookie who is on track to strike out over 150 times in less than 500 AB’s. That is a case of TLR sticking it to several deserving players picking this dude from a team that is also tracking for 100 losses. Way to go Tony is this guy your relative or something?

You don’t have to look back 5 seasons, just look at this one….so whether you think AS selection should be based on a 1/2 season of performance (which is kind of stupid) or whether you think established stars should be selected, Holliday is an obvious choice as he has been great for years as well as great this year.

I didn’t think you were a Reds fan, just ignorant.

Sure… and Bud S. will end up in the HOF because he’s been so good for the game.

Holliday is a good player. But looking back to the last 5 seasons to justify an ASG selection at this point? Come on….

BTW… I’m not a Reds fan.

I’m sure it has nothing to do with Holliday being one of the top 5 OF in the NL this year….or putting up AS quality numbers for each of the last 5 prior seasons as well. Nope, nothing to do with being awesome at baseball and everything to do with….no, actually it was the awesome at baseball thing.

i hope all i well with the molina family but it’s good to see holliday in the asg. he def. deserves it, he’s been KILLING it over the past month or two.
