One thing that might come out later is that Ron Fowler, who was the point man for the 49% owners, is also remaining after the O’Malleys take over. It may be that a significant part of the Moorad group is staying as minority owners, meaning the O’Malleys had only to buy Moores’ 51% and maybe a couple of the minority owners to take over.

I have no idea how big an investor Phil Mickelson is in this group, but let’s just say his finances are stable enough to handle missing some cuts.

IF this is true, let’s hope they have the finances to field a competitive team. Mickelson just missed another cut at the Greenbrier Classic. Does that mean Headley is going to the Dodgers for A-level prospects? How is the sale being financed? Where’s the money?
